How did we get here?
In November 2024, Richfield voters were asked to approve a local 0.5% sales tax to fund three projects: the Richfield Community Center, Veterans Park Complex and Wood Lake Nature Center. Richfield voters overwhelmingly voted to approve all three projects. The local half-percent sales tax will begin in April 2025, and will expire within 20 years or when the costs of the approved projects, plus financing costs, have been collected — whichever comes first.
